Short Story Competitions

We were discussing writing competitions at the last meeting, and Chip has kindly sent through links for the local ones.  As we’re near the end of 2013 now, the deadlines have gone by for this year, but they run annually,  so get busy writing, and good luck!

Chip says, “These are all annual and will run again in 2014, Frome and Yeovil entries from early January. There are entry fees and prizes. They also have categories for poems and novels.

There are many more around the country.

I see The New Writer magazine competitions are still open, closing 30 November
Categories for micro up to 500 words and short 500 – 3,000 words. They publish winners in their magazine.”
