Bare Fiction Prize 2014 Taking Entries in October


The Bare Fiction Prize is open for entries, until 31 October. Calling all poetry (max 40 lines), flash fiction (max 500 words) and short stories (max 3,000) for a chance to win £500 (1st), £200 (2nd) and £100 (3rd) for each category with 4 commendations of £25 each.

The prize also includes publication in the Spring issue of Bare Fiction magazine, plus an invitation to read at the March launch event in London.

This is an open prize, so no theme or genre specifications. All work must be previously unpublished or self-published, including online.

Deadline: 31 October

Bare Fiction is a new literary magazine, covering poetry, fiction and theatre, with an emphasis on new writing. The website also features podcasts and videos.

Poetry: £5 / £3 for subscribers
Flash Fiction: £6 / £4 for subscribers
Short Story: £8 / £6 for subscribers
