An education debate between Jeremy Browne MP and Jeremy Harvey using as a basis for discussion the ideas of economic liberalism explored in Jeremy Browne’s recent book, Race Plan.

Jeremy Browne, who is MP for Taunton Deane, spent just over three years as a government minister following the formation of the coalition in 2010, first in the Foreign Office, where his responsibilities included Britain’s relations with countries in Pacific Asia and Latin America, and latterly in the Home Office.

 

 

 

 

Jeremy Harvey has taught in both private and state schools and was Head of Bishop Fox’s Community School (1978-Jeremy_H_1_-162x2231997). He was awarded a doctorate for his study of the educational work and influence of the charismatic teacher George Lyward of Finchden Manor. He has published two books and is currently a lecturer and reviewer and chairman of the Somerset Art Gallery Trust (SAGT) and of the Somerset Trust for the Arts and Recreation (STAR) which is currently one of the Chairman of the County Council’s nominated charities. Jeremy has lived in Taunton since 1978 and his interests include the church, creating a fairer society, Taunton’s cultural provision, architecture, music and walking.
